Lois Jackson Ph.D. is a former Scientific Director of HPI, and a professor of Health Promotion in the Faculty of Health Professions, Dalhousie University. She holds appointments in the Gender and Women's Studies program, the International Development Program, and the School of Nursing. She is affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, IWK Health Centre. Her research is in the health and well-being of marginalized populations, rural health, and people who use drugs. She also does research in the access to health and social services, and healthcare providers work.
