Jennifer Brady is a Registered Dietitian and Assistant Professor at Mount Saint Vincent University in K'jipuktuk, Mi'kma'ki. Her work is informed by her broad interdisciplinary background and draws on feminist critical theory, and mixed and qualitative methods to explore food, health, and social justice with a special emphasis on health professionals' roles in justice-enhancing practice and advocacy. Her research interests also include: the history and professionalization of dietetics and its forbearer, home economics; the meaning and experiences of cultural food insecurity among newcomers; and fat-positive approaches to health and health care.
